What is the Average Price of your Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses and Prom/Evening Dresses?

Our Wedding Dresses range from R5,000 to R23,000. Bridesmaid Dresses range from R1,800 - R4,000. Evening Dresses, Special Occasion Dresses and Matric Farewell Dresses range from R3,800 - R20,000.

Do you Hire Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Dresses and Prom/Evening Dresses?
Yes we do! We offer an alternative option to our clients that we call the 'Made-to-Hire' option. The 'Made-to-Hire' alternative is a cost effective option; whereby we order a NEW dress just for you, in your size and selected colour, (the same process as a Cut-to-Order dress), only you pay a fraction of the purchase price (20 -30% less). This will ensure the dress is affordable and you will be the FIRST to wear the dress. (Terms and Conditions apply). Owner's discretion is given relating to the dress fabric, venue of wedding, etc.

How Far in Advance should I Shop for my Wedding Dress?
We usually recommend shopping at least 6-8 months prior to your Wedding Date. Most Wedding dDesses that are 'Made-to-Order' which is usually between 12-16 weeks (varies by Designer) from the date of order placement. You will also need to allow time for any alterations your dress may need. Alterations for Brides are usually done approximately 2-3 weeks before the Wedding Day. Many dresses are available on a 'Rush Order' with additional charges. Imported 'In-Stock' dresses from Europe or the USA can arrive in South Africa within 7-14 working days. We also sell our Showroom Dresses off the rack at certain times of the year or on special request.

How Much Time should I allow for Ordering my Bridesmaid Dress or Prom/Evening Dress?

What is the Process to Order a Wedding Dress?
Once you have decided on your perfect Wedding Dress, we take your measurements, select colour and fabric choice and place the order with the relevant Designer overseas. We compare your measurements taken to that of the Designer's Size Charts and order according to the closest match of dress size. Full payment is required prior to the placing of an order. All payments are non-refundable. This however does not apply to Manufacturer damages, as we guarantee the quality of the finished product to you as you are purchasing an international couture item. A 12-16 week period is the usual lead time. Once your Wedding Dress arrives at our boutique, we will arrange an appointment for you to see it and try it on. If any alterations are needed, we usually schedule an Initial Fitting with our seamstress (costs involved are charged independently by the seamstress), followed by a Final Fitting and a Collection Date.

Can I Order a Wedding Dress if I have Less than Six Months before my Wedding?
This is possible. We recommend our Designer's 'In Stock' dresses, that are available for immediate shipping to South Africa; arriving within 7-14 working days. Alternatively, if there is a Showroom Dress at our boutique that fits you perfectly, we will do our best to accomodate you.

Can I Order a Dress even though I Don't Live in Cape Town or in South Africa?
Of course. We have many Brides that don't live in the surrounding areas of our boutique, even Brides from other African countries. Should you live outside South Africa and would like to make an appointment to see us, we will accommodate you and schedule you in as priority. If you are unable to visit our boutique, we suggest you email us with all your details and we can discuss your Wedding Dress planning via emai or telephonicallyl. If there is a particular dress or a few dresses you are interested in, email us the Designer name , style code and colour choice of the dress/es you would like us to send you a quotation on. We will email you a guideline of how to take your measurements, which can then be emailed to us prior to your order. The order process is the same as stated above. We can arrange via a courier service for your dress/es to be delivered to you in your country (courier fees, custom duties & taxes, etc are cost to client).

How do I Place Orders for Out-of-Town Bridesmaids?
We will try accommodate and assist you the best we can. You will need to supply us with your Bridesmaid's details (name/s, date of arrival and measurements). Out-of-Town Bridesmaids will need to take their own measurements, with our measurement chart guildline (see: Tips & Advice). We can discuss what dress styles and colours to order during your appointment. Alternatively, you are welcome to sent me all the details and/or order via email to info@bride2be.net Alterations will also need to be scheduled prior to your bridesmaids arrival.

What does In-Stock or Stock On-hand mean?
In-Stock and Stock On-hand means that certain Gowns/Dresses are currently available as inventory stock at the Designer's warehouse/factory. These Gowns/Dresses are available for immediate shipping from Europe or the USA and can arrive in South Africa within 7-14 working days.
